Pensions increase in Tajikistan

As part of a press conference of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions, its chairman noted the growth of social payments to the population from the state

Pensions are increasing in Tajikistan.

This was announced at a press conference by the head of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions Dilmurod Davlatzoda.

It is noted that the average pension in the republic as of July 2023 is 375.53 somoni.

However, in 2022, this figure was 332.92 somoni.

So, for the six months of 2023, pension payments increased by 42.61 somoni.

Earlier in Tajikistan, from July 1, pensions, scholarships, as well as salaries for teachers, scientists and doctors were indexed. In particular, the basic pension will be 250 somoni (about $23). However, this measure will not affect presidential payments.

Recall that in early February, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed a decree on measures to be taken in 2023 to support the social protection of the population.

The head of state instructed the government to ensure this implementation at the expense of the funds provided in the state budget.
