Natural disasters hit the north of Tajikistan
About 60 residents and 6 units of engineering equipment were involved in cleaning and restoring infrastructure in the Sughd region
A number of emergencies have occurred in the Sughd region of Tajikistan.
This was reported by the press service of the Committee for Emergency Situations of the country.
Thus, a mudflow occurred in the village of Madm, Ayni district, as a result, several houses were damaged, including mud flooded 4 residential buildings.
Damage was also caused to a section of the road and devices for irrigating farmland.
The village of Langar also faced the consequences of a natural disaster. Here, 60 residents and 6 units of engineering equipment were involved in cleaning and restoring the infrastructure.
Flooding occurred on the Dushanbe-Vahdat-Lakhsh highway.
The section with a length of about 200 meters was blocked for traffic.
The CoES working group took measures to eliminate the consequences and provide assistance to the victims.
According to the department, there are no victims of the emergency.
Earlier it became known that the region continues to eliminate the consequences of a natural disaster.
Mudflow descended in the Aininsky district. Residential premises and roads were cleared in the Langar settlement of Urmetan Jamoat.

Assistance was also provided to local residents - the victims received food, including flour, pasta, vegetable oil, rice, sugar and tea.
