Kazakhstani chess players won silver at the World Championships in Poland
ASTANA 12 September - Sputnik. The Kazakhstan team became the silver medalist of the World Championship, which takes place in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz.
In the final, the team was defeated by the Georgian team. On the website of the International Chess Federation, the confrontation between the teams was called a duel of experience and talent.
“The experience of the Georgian players prevailed over the youth and talent of the Kazakh team, which, with an average age of 18 years, performed above all expectations and will bring home a silver medal,” FIDE said in a statement.
This medal was the best achievement of the Kazakhstan team at the world championships.
