Kazakhstan and Türkiye signed a military cooperation plan for 2024

In Ankara, the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, held a number of meetings, visited military facilities, institutions and enterprises of the military-industrial complex, Kazinform agency reports, citing the press service of the ministry.

These days, events are being held in the Republic of Turkey to mark the centenary of its founding. At the Anitkabyr memorial complex, the head of the Kazakh delegation took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Ataturk monument.

Negotiations between Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov and Minister of National Defense Yashar Guler took place. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.

Meetings were held with the Commander-in-Chief of the Gendarmerie of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Army General Arif Çetin, and the head of the Defense Industry Directorate of the Republic of Turkey, Haluk Gergün.

At the Military School of the Ground Forces, the head of the defense department of the Republic of Kazakhstan talked with cadets from Kazakhstan studying at this educational institution. He inquired about the organization of training, leisure time for cadets and living conditions. The minister wished them perseverance in mastering military disciplines. The knowledge and skills acquired at the educational institution, he emphasized, will be a reliable basis for a confident start in the service.

The Kazakh delegation also visited the united company Turkish Aerospace Industries - TUSAŞ Aerospace Industries, which produces aviation equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles.

As a result of the meeting, a Military Cooperation Plan between Turkey and Kazakhstan for 2024 was signed. As the head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel Olzhas Khusainov, noted, Kazakhstan and Turkey are united by strong historical and cultural ties, which is the key to the successful development of bilateral relations. Cooperation has been established between defense departments in the field of military science, education, combat training, and military-technical cooperation is being established.
