Jiaxin International to build a tungsten processing plant in Almaty region

ASTANA, August 28 - Sputnik. The Chinese company Jiaxin International plans to build a tungsten processing plant in the Almaty region, this became known during a meeting of its management with Kazakh invest.

Liu Liqiang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jiaxin International, said that at the first stage, the company plans to start processing tungsten ore into 65% tungsten concentrate.

The second stage of the project will focus on the production of ammonium paratungstate and deep processing of tungsten carbide powder.

According to him, the total investment will amount to $450 million, more than 1,000 jobs will be created. The enterprise's capacity is 3.3 million tons of ore per year.
