The Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan and the Japanese University of Tsukuba have entered into a contract for educational support, reports the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan.
The document was signed by the rector of ITUT named after. Oguz Khana Gurbanmyrat Mezilov and President of the University of Tsukuba Nagata Kyosuke. The ceremony took place during the visit of a delegation from a Japanese university to Turkmenistan.
The University of Tsukuba is one of Japan's leading universities, having three Nobel Prize winners among its presidents and faculty. The university is also known for its efforts in internationalization and participation in global projects for the development of higher education.
Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology was founded in 2016 and is one of the most modern and progressive universities not only in Turkmenistan, but also in the region as a whole. The university provides training and research in the fields of chemistry, nanotechnology, biotechnology, ecology, computer science, cyber-physical systems and the economics of innovation.
The signing of a contract between the two universities was an important step in strengthening friendly and partnership relations between Turkmenistan and Japan in the field of higher education and science.
