ASTANA, Sep 5 - Sputnik. Gabit Syzdykbekov replaced Murat Aytenov as Akim of Shymkent.

For Syzdykbekov, this is his hometown - he was born in Shymkent in 1980.

He began his career in 2004 as an attaché of the State Protocol Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He worked in the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, in the Senate, was the head of the department of the Department of Asia and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2012 to 2017 he was an adviser to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in France.
