Five Azerbaijani wrestlers join the fight at the European Championship

Five Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers join the fight at the European Championship starting today in Zagreb (Croatia).

According to the Report, Aliabbas Rzazade, who performs in the 57 kg weight category, will meet the winner of the pair Anatoly Buruyan (Moldova) – Horst Lehr (Germany) in the 1/4 finals.

Ali Rahimzade (65 kg) will face the winner of the pair Georgios Pilidis (Greece) – Islam Dudayev (Albania) in the 1/8 finals, and Haji Aliyev (70 kg) will face off with Gianluca Talamo (Italy) in the classification round.

The opponent of Sabukha Amiraslanova (79 kg) in the 1/8 finals will be Iman Mahdavi (UWW), and Magomedkhana Magomedova (97 kg) – Italian wrestler Benjamin Honis.

The European Championship will end on April 23.
