Farid Ahmadov: Azerbaijan is developing a new law on the protection of personal data

A new bill is being developed in Azerbaijan as part of the data management strategy.

Report informs, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Farid Ahmadov said this at the "Go to a new page" panel within the framework of the Human Resources Summit in Baku.

He said that coordination is currently underway in connection with a new bill: "If this draft is sent for approval to parliament, then we will adopt a new law on the protection of personal data."

The Deputy Minister noted that within the framework of the data management strategy, the special role of personal data is determined: “We want the strategy to be adopted at the state level. This strategy will reflect all approaches. the situation is ambiguous."
