Fair competition in cross-border markets of the EAEU: business questions answered by the EEC
ASTANA, September 8 - Sputnik. Participants of the Public Reception, headed by the EEC Minister of Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation Bakhyt Sultanov, considered issues of maintaining fair competition in the cross-border markets of the EAEU.
According to Bakhyt Sultanov, about a quarter of the complaints about competition violations received by the Commission come from Belarus.
“In this regard, we see the purpose of such meetings to tell entrepreneurs using specific cases about the risks of violating supranational antimonopoly law that they may face when entering cross-border markets of the EAEU,” said the EEC Minister.
Belarusian business is also actively involved in public procurement of the EAEU countries. Today, the Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods, which allows you to freely participate in procurement by EAEU countries, includes information on 7,187 products from 92 manufacturers in the Republic of Belarus.
The Eurasian Register includes 8,138 goods (15 industries) from 108 manufacturers: 92 from the Republic of Belarus, 6 from the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2 from the Kyrgyz Republic, 8 from the Russian Federation.
