Emomali Rahmon received Nils Annen, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany

On August 14, 2023, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, received the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, Nils Annen, the press service of the head of state reports.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the Federal Republic of Germany in areas of mutual interest.

In this context, the Leader of the Nation stressed that Tajikistan and Germany have ample opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial ties in various trade, economic, social and humanitarian areas.

Head Emomali Rahmon noted that the Tajik side is interested in further strengthening the constructive relations between the two countries, regarding the energy sector, in particular hydropower, as a source of development of "green energy", science and education, technology, as well as climate change issues as promising areas of bilateral cooperation .

During the conversation, issues related to the meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Germany were also discussed.

The hope was expressed that this event would contribute to the development of trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian ties between the countries of our region and Germany. The parties exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
