Emomali Rahmon made a small Hajj

On July 19, Emomali Rahmon, before participating in the first Summit of the Council of Heads of State of Central Asia and the Arab States of the Gulf, arrived from Jeddah in Mecca of Saudi Arabia.

Emomali Rahmon, dressed in ihram (special clothing for pilgrimage), entered the house of the Almighty and inside Kaabatullo read 2 rak'ahs of Nafil prayer.

Then Emomali Rahmon and the delegation accompanying him made a detour around the house of the Kaaba 7 times, that is, they performed the tawaf of the qibla of Muslims on earth.

After going around the Kaaba, Emomali Rahmon and the delegation accompanying him performed two rak'ahs of namaz nafil (an additional type of prayer) behind the Makam of the prophet Ibrahim Khalilullah, located next to the Kaaba.

The head of state, together with the delegation, after reading the prayer, prayed for the future progress and prosperity of Tajikistan - the home of hope for all Tajiks of the world, as well as for the peace and well-being of the glorious Tajik people.

Then, after drinking water from the Zamzam well, they climbed the Safa hill in order to perform a sai (ritual run between the Safa and Marv hills), that is, run 7 times between the Safa and Marv hills, 4 times from Safa to Marv and 3 times in the opposite direction.

After performing the sai ceremony at the foot of Marv Hill, pilgrims cut or shave their hair on their heads. The delegation of Tajikistan, headed by the President, having performed this ceremony, completed the Umrah.

It should be especially noted that this pilgrimage is considered the fifth in a row. By the mercy and will of the Almighty and thanks to the deep respect of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the King of Saudi Arabia, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon managed to enter the symbolic House of the Almighty - the Kaaba three times, perform two rak'ahs of prayer and pray for dear Tajikistan and its glorious people.

The constant protection of the bright name of Islam in the region and the world, the repeated publication of the Holy Quran in the Tajik language, the celebration at the national and international levels of the 1310th anniversary of the founder of the tolerant Hanafi madhhab Abuhanifa Numon ibn Sobit - Imom Azam are worthy merits of the Leader of the Tajik nation in the Islamic world, which allowed him to achieve such high prestige and respect.

This testifies to the worthy place and authority of Emomali Rahmon in the Islamic world, who was included several times in the list of 500 influential Muslims.

It should be recalled that until that time, Emomali Rahmon made official and business trips to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1997, 2001, 2005, 2016 and 2017.

It is gratifying that the President and the Government of Tajikistan year after year are taking measures aimed at facilitating the conditions for citizens making pilgrimage to the Kaaba and to the burial place of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafo (s). The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in cooperation with Saudi Arabia, is taking measures to improve the conditions of travel and stay of Tajik pilgrims.
