Depreciation of Kyrgyz som is expected in 2023 — ADB expert
In 2023, the depreciation of the Kyrgyz som is expected. This was announced today by the senior economist of the permanent Mission of the ADB in Kyrgyzstan Gulnur Kerimkulova.
According to her, the SOM will weaken as the Russian ruble falls against the US dollar. At the same time, the National Bank will conduct interventions to contain sharp fluctuations.
Recall, analysts of the Eurasian Development Bank expect that the SOM rate will be at the level of 82-84 soms per $ 1 during this year.
