Davlatzoda: the rights of believers are not violated in Tajikistan

This was announced at a press conference by the chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs, the regulation of national traditions, celebrations and rituals of the republic Sulaimon Davlatzoda.
He called unfounded the report of the American International Commission on religious freedom, which is allegedly violated in Tajikistan.

In particular, no one oppresses Muslims in the country, Davlatzoda noted.
"Have you yourself witnessed a situation where the rights of believers were violated, including Muslims? Nobody complained to me personally," the head of the committee said.
At the same time, Davlatzoda stressed that anyone who doubts this can come to the Ismaili center and ask the parishioners about their religious life in Tajikistan.
In addition, he called false reports that the country is refusing to register a Protestant church. The committee did not record the relevant statements.

"If supporters of this religion apply, they will be sent a written response within the framework of the law," he added.
According to official data, there are currently almost 4,000 mosques, 3 community centers and 66 non-Islamic religious associations in Tajikistan.
