CoES: a child drowned in the Gissar Canal

The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan expresses sincere condolences to the families and friends of the drowned boy

The body of a 12-year-old boy was removed from the Hissar Canal.

This was reported in the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan.

It is noted that the child was alone while swimming in the pond.

So, from the moment of the incident, rescuers of the CoES were mobilized for search work.

After that, the body was discovered by the Committee and handed over to law enforcement agencies.

In this regard, "The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan expresses sincere condolences to relatives and friends" and asks:

do not leave children unattended,

have regular conversations with them about the consequences of not following the safety rules on the pond and swimming in prohibited places.

Three drowning people rescued in Khujand

Earlier, employees of the Committee for Emergency Situations of Tajikistan taught citizens safe behavior in water during a raid on the Tajik Sea and the Syrdarya River in the Sughd region.

Management specialists held conversations with vacationers and handed them leaflets with the rules of safe behavior near the water, paying special attention to children.

In order to avoid accidents in water bodies, CoES reminds:

swim only in specially designated places, on equipped beaches, where in case of an accident a lifeguard can quickly help you;

do not swim behind buoys and other fences installed in swimming areas;

do not arrange games with wrestling and captures;

it is dangerous to jump into the water in unfamiliar places, from berths and other structures that are not adapted for this purpose;

a long swim, a long stay in the water is hypothermia, muscle fatigue, convulsions, death.

Management staff remind: first of all, safety is your own responsibility!
