Azerbaijani taekwondo fighters to take part in Turkish championship
Azerbaijani taekwondo athletes (juniors and cadets) will take part in the Turkish Open Championship, which starts on July 6 in Ankara.
Report informs citing the Federation that in the competition, which will last four days, the head coach of the youth team Mammad Abdullayev and head coach Zahid Mammadov will give a chance to 12 boys and 10 girls.
Mohammed Hasanli (48 kg), Fuad Maharramli, Bahadur Dostuev, Aydin Suleymanov (all three - 51 kg), Ramil Asadov (55 kg), Vasif Salimov, Marat Mammadov (both - 59 kg), Vugar Baghirov (63 kg) ), Ravan Mammadov, Yunis Huseynov (both-68 kg), Eljan Aliyev, Huseyn Khudiyev (both-73 kg) Firangul Abbaszade, Salima Guliyeva (both-42 kg), Seljan Agazade, Zemfira Hasanzade (both-44 kg), Seidkhanym Mammadova (46 kg), Banu Guliyeva (49 kg), Saadat Abbasova (55 kg), Nigar Abdullayeva and Nargiz Kazimova (both 59 kg).
The youth team led by head coach Rashad Mammadov and head coach Vurgun Jafarov will compete in the championship with nine guys and seven girls. Ilknur Alimov (148 cm), Khazar Gamidov, Nurai Sultanova, Zahra Isayeva, Leyla Kerimova (all 152 cm), Anar Abdullazade, Ilyas Khatamli, Novruz Aliyev, Humay Dadashova, Shams Alizade (all 160 cm), Alikhaydar Guliyev ( 164 cm), Fatima Hasanova, Narin Hasanova (all three 168 cm), Mattaba Aliyeva (172 cm) and Tamerlan Yagubov (180 cm).
Note that 1429 athletes will take part in the competition.
