Antikor has returned more than 800 billion tenge to the budget of Kazakhstan since the beginning of the year

The head of state received the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency Askhat Zhumagaliev.

The head of the department reported to the president on the results of the work of the anti-corruption service for 10 months of the current year:

During the reporting period, about 1,500 corruption crimes were registered, more than 1,100 individuals were exposed, of which 158 were managers at various levels;

More than 1 thousand cases were sent to court, 282 billion tenge of damage was compensated;

from 2022, the return to the budget and entities of the quasi-public sector of property assets and funds in the amount of about 857 billion tenge has been ensured;

As part of the implementation of the Corruption Risk Map, monitoring is carried out on the construction of social facilities for which delivery deadlines have been violated and there are risks of theft. 156 such facilities have been installed in all regions of the country with a total budget of 2.44 trillion tenge;

As part of interaction with civil society, the Anti-Corruption Volunteering project is being implemented, in which more than 2 thousand caring Kazakhstanis currently take part.

In addition, Askhat Zhumagaliev reported on the progress of work to prevent corruption.

Following the meeting, the Head of State gave a number of specific instructions to continue systematic work to combat corruption and strengthen preventive measures.

Earlier it was reported that Antikor of Kazakhstan and the US State Department discussed issues of asset return. The parties agreed to conduct joint activities on issues of financial investigations, asset recovery, and combating corruption crimes committed using digital financial assets, crypto exchanges and other digital platforms.
