Man burned during transformer repair in Tashkent

On October 27, an individual suffered burns while a transformer substation was being repaired at the Parkwood residential complex in the Mirobod district of Tashkent. A video capturing the incident has circulated on social media.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred due to an interphase short circuit during repair work, resulting in burn injuries to two workers.

The capital’s administration reported that the two victims sustained burns of varying severity and are currently receiving medical attention.

An assessment by specialists from "Tashkent City Electric Networks" revealed that the transformer substation is not under the jurisdiction of the Tashkent city branch of "Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari" (Regional Electric Networks) JSC. The repair work was carried out by employees of a private enterprise that provides services to the consumer. The victims are not employees of the Mirobod district power supply utility.
