The Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs (IIBB) announced that a criminal case has been initiated against the management of the construction company "Imarat Development" on charges of fraud and abuse of office, following complaints from buyers.
Investigations revealed that the residential properties the company intended to build were not located in Tashkent city, but rather in the Quyi Chirchiq district of the Tashkent region. Upon discovering this, the buyers demanded a refund of the payments they had made for the apartments; however, the funds were not returned.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been opened under Article 168 (Fraud) and Article 192-11 (Abuse of Office) of the Criminal Code.
It should be noted that a report was previously published regarding buyers dissatisfied with the operations of "Imarat Development." That report highlighted instances where individuals believed they were purchasing homes in Tashkent city, only to find that the apartments being offered were actually located in the Tashkent region.
