Thai authorities have put forward an initiative to introduce a 15-day visa-free regime for citizens of Uzbekistan, Colombia, and Mexico. The initiative aims to eliminate delays in the processing of electronic visas and increase the flow of tourists into the country. This proposal is scheduled to be reviewed at a meeting of the Visa Policy Committee on November 9. For reference, 16,291 citizens of Uzbekistan visited Thailand during the first four months of 2026. Currently, electronic visa applications submitted by Uzbek citizens for travel to Thailand take an average of 15 days to be approved—a situation that creates difficulties for both travelers and airlines.
