Entrepreneur Oybek Tursunov is acquiring the head office and other assets of the mobile operator Perfectum in Tashkent for a total of 98.37 billion soums. The deal has been approved by the shareholders of Rubicon Wireless Communication JSC.
The sale includes four buildings located at 21 Taras Shevchenko Street in the Mirobod district of Tashkent, as well as 2,012 items classified as fixed assets.
The real estate complex was valued at 65.97 billion soums, while other assets were valued at 32.41 billion soums. The total area of the buildings included in the real estate portfolio is approximately 10,500 square meters.
This decision was approved unanimously during a shareholders' meeting held on October 16.
This development coincides with the acquisition of Perfectum by the international group VEON. On October 19, VEON announced the signing of an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Rubicon Wireless Communication. The deal is valued at approximately $207 million, a figure that includes the operator’s debt of roughly $93 million.
The Committee for the Development of Competition has approved the acquisition. Under the stipulated terms, Perfectum must maintain its independence for at least three years and keep its existing 5G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) tariffs in place for 12 months.
