Until the Soviet period, when Labihovuz was preserved in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, there were a lot of such ponds, which were the main source of water in the city, mostly filled in the 1920s and 1930s.
This magnificent architectural ensemble was created during the XVI and XVII centuries. The Labihowuz ensemble surrounding the pond on three sides consists of: the largest madrasa Skyscraper madrasa in the town, the rare Devonbegi madrasa, and the Ernazar ambassador madrasa.
