Marat Hamdamov, founder of Imarat Development, has been detained as a suspect in a criminal investigation conducted by the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs.

In recent days, dissatisfied homebuyers have repeatedly gathered outside the company's office on Buyuk Avlod Street. Following these protests, the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs conducted an investigation and initiated criminal proceedings.

According to buyers, some residential properties were advertised as being located in Tashkent's Sergeli and Yangihayot districts, while the actual construction sites were in the Quyi Chirchiq district of Tashkent Region. Construction on other projects has reportedly slowed down or remained at an early stage.

Customers who attempted to terminate their contracts and recover their payments claimed that the company imposed fines and penalties, delayed refunds, and ultimately failed to return their money.

According to the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs, two individuals, identified by the initials M.Kh. and J.A., were detained under Article 227 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the company's management under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 192¹¹ of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
