During the 13th summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a mistake while signing documents. Instead of signing in the space designated for Turkey, he signed in the spot intended for Kazakhstan. After signing, Erdoğan asked an official standing nearby whether he had signed in the wrong place. The official explained that the document was meant for Kazakhstan and indicated that he would bring a new one. The official returned shortly after and handed a new document to Erdoğan. When the President asked, "Where?" the official pointed out the correct spot for the signature. Erdoğan then signed the document in the appropriate place. The incident was captured on video during the summit's signing ceremony.
