Starting November 1, 2026, traffic police inspectors will not issue administrative citations to drivers who cross road markings 1.1 and 1.3 within 50 meters of an intersection or within 20 meters of a U-turn point.
This policy was established by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated October 29. This exception applies only to the specified distances; crossing these road markings in other areas remains a traffic violation.
Additionally, as of November 1, specialized photo and video recording equipment installed by private entities may also be used to detect instances where seatbelts are not worn. For this to occur, the system must be capable of clearly capturing the driver’s face and determining whether or not a seatbelt is fastened.
