Microsoft founder Bill Gates has pledged to give 99 percent of his fortune to charity, primarily to improve health and education in Africa. In a speech in Addis Ababa, he singled out artificial intelligence as a priority, using it to reduce maternal and child mortality, reduce infectious diseases and end poverty.
According to Forbes, Gates' fortune is expected to reach $115.1 billion in 2025 and could reach $200 billion by 2045. The initiative comes as the US government is cutting health programs in Africa.
