According to Pavel Durov, to further prevent criminals from abusing Telegram search, the Messenger's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy have been updated and will be the same worldwide. IP addresses and phone numbers of violators may be disclosed to relevant authorities in response to legal requirements.

Telegram also cleans global search from unnecessary channels and bots with the help of artificial intelligence, and does so continuously. Not all suspicious content found in the search is accessible.
