The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov was appointed the chairman of the Chess Federation

Uzbekistan will host the World Chess Olympiad in 2026. According to Khushnudbek Khudoyberdiyev, a lawyer and blogger, the election of the prime minister as the chairman of the federation may be related to serious preparations for this prestigious international event.
Also, the director of the Youth Affairs Agency, Alisher Sadullayev, was elected the first deputy chairman of the federation.
