Telegram earns $1 billion in 2024
Telegram founder Pavel Durov said that for the first time since the introduction of monetization on the network, the messenger is ending the year with a profit. In 2024, the number of Telegram Premium subscribers tripled - to more than 12 million.
“As a result, Telegram’s total revenue in 2024 exceeded $1 billion, and excluding crypto assets, we will end the year with a cash reserve of more than $500 million,” — Durov.
Telegram also repaid a large part of the $2 billion in debt it had taken over 4 years.
