China's ice model of Registan
The 26th Winter Ice and Snow Festival has opened at the "Big World of Ice and Snow" theme park in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China
One of the main attractions of the traditional festival is the ice model of the Registan Square in Samarkand.
The town is divided into nine main zones, which feature models of attractions from 42 countries and 3 regions that are members of the Olympic Council of Asia.
A total of 300,000 cubic meters of ice and snow were used to build the one million square meter snow town.
Its design and construction used elements from the Asian Winter Games, which will begin in Harbin on February 7, 2025.
